SANAA, Feb. 12 (YPA) – The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) in Sanaa approved on Monday the a proposal made by the head of the Judicial Inspection Authority to transfer a number of judges to work in some first instance and appeal courts.
In its weekly meeting, headed by the Chairman of the Council, Judge Ahmed Yahya Al-Mutawakil, the SJC also approved several members of the Public Prosecution to be transferred to work in some first-instance and appellate prosecution offices, based on the proposal of the Public Prosecutor.
The meeting decided to lift the judicial immunity of one of the judges in accordance with the law, as well as to impose the appropriate punishment against a member of the prosecution due to committing violations in his judicial position.
It agreed to file a disciplinary case against one of the judges and referred him to the Accounting Council, based on the request submitted by the Judicial Inspection Authority.
