Washington allocates $2.4 billion for its operations in Red Sea

WASHINGTON, Feb. 06 (YPA) – The US Senate has issued a draft law on border security and aid to Ukraine and Israel, which includes a budget totaling $118 billion.

American media reported, saying: “It was decided to divide the budget of the draft law issued by the Senate so that $60 billion is allocated for military assistance to Ukraine, and $20.23 billion is allocated to address the American border crisis.”

It was also decided to grant $14.1 billion to “Israel” and allocate $10 billion to humanitarian aid, including to Gaza, the West Bank, and Ukraine, as well as $2.33 billion to Ukrainian refugees.

The Washington Post newspaper said: “The Senate allocated $2.44 billion to American operations related to the conflict in the Red Sea and strikes directed at the Ansarallah group.”

The newspaper added that $26.15 billion was allocated to replenish the stock of American weapons provided to Ukraine, Taiwan, and “Israel,” and $4.83 billion was allocated for measures to “deter China” in the Indo-Pacific region.”

“US President Joe Biden supported the draft law and also called on Congress to quickly approve it,” the newspaper said.
