GAZA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army has continued to withdraw more of its troops from the Gaza Strip for the second straight week, according to Hebrew media.
“Despite the continuing battles in areas of the Gaza Strip, the army continues to withdraw part of its forces, whether regular or reserve forces, and part of those forces will be directed to areas of the West Bank,” the occupation sources said.
In the same context, the Chief of General Staff of the occupation, Herzi Halevi, revealed last Friday that the army is withdrawing more reserve soldiers, knowing that they will be called up again soon.
Last week, “The Wall Street Journal” said that “Israel” has withdrawn thousands of soldiers. Its soldiers left Gaza after to transition to a less intense and a more precise phase in its war against Hamas.
