Israeli occupation continues its aggression on towns of southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army has continued its aggression on Lebanese border towns since Sunday morning, launching a series of air raids and artillery shelling on sites on the outskirts of Aitaroun, Maroun al-Ras, Yaroun and others in southern Lebanon.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, “Since Sunday morning and throughout the past night, the hostile reconnaissance aircraft has not left the skies of the districts of Tyre and Bint Jbeil, where it flies at a very low altitude, threatening human and mechanical moving objects.  Throughout the past night, the Israeli enemy launched flares over the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line.”

On Saturday, an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle near the city of Tyre, on a road between the towns of Bazourieh and Burj Al-Shamali, resulting in two deaths.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army shelled several areas and towns in southern Lebanon.
