FM extends invitation to UN official to visit Sanaa

SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the caretaker government in Sanaa, Hisham Sharaf, discussed on Sunday with the Acting Resident Representative of the UN World Food Program (WFP) in Sanaa, Irving Prado, the program’s activities and plans for the year 2024.

In the meeting, the Foreign Minister delivered a written invitation addressed to the Executive Director of the WFP, Cindy McCain, to visit the capital, Sanaa, to discuss strengthening relations between the government and the program and address any controversial issues.

WFP’s acting representative explained that the humanitarian situation in Yemen remains the top priority for the work of the program.
