Sanaa witnesses heavy rains

SANAA, Jan. 18 (YPA) – The capital, Sanaa, and its suburbs witnessed heavy rains this Thursday evening.

The Meteorology and Early Warning Center explained earlier today that moisture is flowing from the Red Sea and the western Gulf of Aden towards the western mountainous highlands, thus forming cumulus rain clouds, watery dust, and fog.

The center urged citizens to be cautious and stay away from flood streams, warned vehicle drivers on mountain roads of the decline in horizontal visibility due to rainfall and the formation of fog in particular.
