ADEN, Jan. 15 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia was accused of starving the people of the coalition-held city of Aden, south of Yemen.
Abdul Rahman Al-Wali, the politician and academic at the University of Aden, said that in a post on the “X” platform on Monday, adding that the so-called “the legitimacy” and the STC being preoccupied with their seats in the next government without regard to the employees’ salaries.
“The Minister of Finance in the coalition-backed Aden government is very busy with his nomination to head the government,” he explained. “90 percent of the officials receive their cash dues in dollars.”
This comes in conjunction with the government’s inability to pay teachers’ salaries in the city of Aden for the second month in a row, amid calls for comprehensive civil disobedience in the city.
