SANAA, Jan. 14 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected cold to very cold weather in a number of provinces of Yemen over the coming 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin on Sunday, the center affirmed that a cold wave may grip the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Jawf, Marib, and Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.
It also expected active to very fast winds on the western coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, ranging its speeds between 16-26 knots.
The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children and patients in mountainous areas and interior plateaus, of the cold weather.
It called on farmers to take the necessary precautions and follow agricultural orders to protect their crops.
