Tribal sheikh assassinated in Mahra

MAHRA, Jan. 13 (YPA) – A tribal sheikh was killed on Friday in Shehn border district of Mahra province, eastern Yemen.

Local sources said that tribal gunmen opened fire on the tribal sheikh, Mufarrej bin Saleh Dakhnan Al-Marzouqi, while he was in his car in Shehn area.

The sources added that the gunmen fled to an unknown destination, suggesting that the assassination was motivated by revenge.
