Meteorology expects cold weather in Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 09 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Tuesday that the weather will be very cold in a number of provinces of Yemen, with frost forming in parts of them during the next 24 hours.

The center said in its weather bulletin, that the cold weather may target the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar and Bayda, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea, Lahj and Abyan, as well as the plateaus and deserts of Jawf, Marib, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra.

It urged citizens, especially the elderly, children and patients in mountainous areas, inland plateaus and deserts, to wear winter clothes in order to preserve their health and prevent the cold wave.
