Cold weather expected to sweep various provinces of Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 30 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology has expected clear and cold weather in several Yemeni provinces over the coming 24 hours.

In its weather forecast on Sunday, the center affirmed that the cold weather may sweep the provinces of the governorates of Dhamar, Amran, Sanaa, Bayda, Saada, Ibb and Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, in addition to Jawf, Marib, Hajjah, Mahweet and Rayma.

It also affirmed that the weather in the coastal areas will be partly cloudy to cloudy with the possibility of light rain on parts of the eastern, southern and western coasts, and winds will be moderate to active on the Socotra Archipelago, the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab), ranging its speeds between 12 to 20 knots.

The center called citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients, workers during the night and early morning, and travelers to the aforementioned provinces, to take the necessary precautions against the cold weather.
