AL-QUDS, Dec. 28 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces carried out On Thursday a massive campaign against Money Exchange Companies in the West Bank, arresting their employees, and seizing almost 10 million shekels, which equals $2.8 million.
This came after Israeli entity’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant issued a decision to classify 5 exchange companies and their branches in the West Bank on terrorist lists.
The Israeli occupation army said that the raids came after a joint investigation it conducted with the Internal Security Agency (Shin Bet), the Ministry of Interior, and the Tax Authority, on suspicion of the involvement of these companies in financing Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements.
Israel’s Channel 12 quoted an Israeli security official as saying that the decision to close money exchange shops was part of the broader campaign against Hamas.
