Double missile attack target two US army oil bases in eastern Syria

SYRIA, Dec. 28 (YPA) – A double missile attack targeted two illegal US Army oil bases in eastern Syria on Thursday, press sources in Syria reported.

A Sputnik correspondent said that a missile attack occurred on the US army base at the Koniko gas plant, north of Deir ez-Zor, on Thursday afternoon.

The attack coincided with a similar attack on the US army base in the “Al-Omar oil field” east of Deir ez-Zor, which led to the outbreak of fire inside the green zone in the field, the correspondent added. He noted that the American forces operated their military aircraft in the area while opening the sound barrier over the towns surrounding the Al-Omar oil field.

In the same context, the reporter explained that the militants of the “Arab tribes” are continuing to launch attacks on military points of the “SDF” loyal to the American army near the bank of the Euphrates River in the vicinity of the “Al-Omar” oil field on an almost daily basis, taking advantage of the weather conditions, with information about human and material losses.

In turn, the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” announced that it had targeted the American base located in the Syrian Koniko field with a missile salvo.
