TEHRAN, Dec. 25 (YPA) – Tehran announced the death of senior Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Seyyed Razi Mousavi in Syria as a result of a Zionist airstrike near the Syrian capital Damascus, Iranian media reported on Monday.
According to Iran’s Tasnim news agency, Reza Mousavi, who was targeted by “Zionist aggression,” is one of the top commanders of the IRGC in Syria and one of the oldest Iranian advisers there.
The agency explained that Mousavi was one of the oldest IRGC commanders in Syria and he was close to the commander of the IRGC’s elite Quds Force, martyr Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, prior to his martyrdom
In the same context, President Ebrahim Raisi said that assassinating Brigadier General Reza Mousavi is another indicator of the frustration of the Zionist entity and they will pay the price for this crime.
