Delegation of Islamic Jihad movement arrives in Cairo

CAIRO, Dec. 24 (YPA) – A delegation from the Islamic Jihad movement, headed by the movement’s Secretary-General, Ziad Al-Nakhalah, arrived on Sunday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

A senior source in the Jihad movement said, “The visit of the movement’s delegation to Cairo comes in response to an Egyptian invitation to discuss ways to stop the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip and the prisoner exchange deal.”

The sources added that the movement’s delegation in Cairo would confirm its position regarding linking any exchange of prisoners to the concept of all for all after the ceasefire and not before it, within a political process agreed upon by the Palestinian people, represented by its various political forces.

Last Wednesday, the head of the Hamas movement political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

Hamas said in a brief statement that Haniyeh’s visit aims to hold discussions with Egyptian officials about developments in the Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip and several other files.
