STC resolves its position regarding protection of Israeli ships in Red Sea

ADEN, Dec. 19 (YPA) -The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), said that it would be with any coalition that would “protect international navigation” from what it called “acts of piracy in the Red and Arab Sea” carried out by Sanaa forces against Israeli occupation ships.

“We will be with any effort or alliance that would protect international navigation from piracy carried out by the Houthi militias in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea,” Fadel al-Jaadi, the  Secretary-General of STC said in a post on his X account.

He added, “The visit of the head of STC to Bab al-Mandab bears an indication of readiness to participate in the battle to protect international waterways.”

Al-Jaadi’s statements came after the Yemeni armed forces carried out military operations in the Red Sea in support of the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza, who are currently subjected to killing, destruction, and siege by the Zionists with the support of the United States and Western governments.

The Yemeni forces affiliated with the Sanaa government pledged to target Israeli ships and ships heading to the Zionist entity in the Red and Arab Sea unless the aggression and blockade imposed on Gaza ends.

The visit of STC Chairman Aidarous al-Zubaidi to Bab al-Mandab yesterday sparked widespread reactions, as many analysts have seen it as a signal of the STC’s willingness to participate in the protection of Israeli ships.
