ADEN, Dec. 17 (YPA) – Activists revealed on Sunday a rise in the number of families living in poverty in the southern provinces controlled by the Saudi-led coalition factions.
Activists published a video recording on the suffering and tragedies faced by inhabitants in the southern areas as a result of the coalition’s policy of impoverishment and starvation, which compelled some citizens to sell their personal things, including clothes and household items, to earn a living.
The video, published by human rights activist Amal Souqi, was filmed a few days ago in the center of Aden City’s public market in the Crater region, and shows individuals selling personal clothing and women’s abayas to get money to purchase their own food.
“Due to the current economic conditions, many families have resorted to selling their personal belongings,” Souqi said.
