SANAA, Dec. 10 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology affirmed on Sunday that a cold wave would hit most mountainous and desert provinces.
In its weather bulletin, the center said that the wave may sweep the provinces of Dhamar, Bayda, Amran, Sanaa, Saada, Dhalea, and Ibb, with forming the frost.
The weather is likely to be cold in the highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramaut Plateau, Jawf, Marib, Mahweet and Raymah, according to the bulletin.
The center indicated the possibility of winds ranging between 15 and 25 knots around the Socotra Archipelago, the western coast, and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
The center called on the elderly, the patients, and children to take the necessary precautions against the effects of cold and extremely cold weather, urging farmers, livestock herders, and poultry and beekeepers to follow the instructions to protect them from the consequences of the cold wave.
