ADEN, Dec. 10 (YPA) – Activists in Aden city, which is under Saudi-led coalition control, have shared shocking images of the pollution the city is witnessing, which has led to the spread of many diseases and epidemics among its residents in recent weeks.
The circulating clip showed sewage leaking into several residential neighborhoods in Al-Buraiqa area, confirming that the mixing of sewage with water pumped into citizens’ homes.
This occurs amid the carelessness of the authorities loyal to the coalition, which vowed at the beginning of its war on Yemen to turn Aden into a second Dubai in terms of services.
The daily sewage overflow was not limited to the Al-Buraiqa area, as other activists shared pictures yesterday, Friday, of sewage water flooding the side streets in the Sheikh Othman area.
During the past months, cholera has spread in various residential neighborhoods in Aden, with dozens of infections recorded, including 73 cases from Horn of Africa migrants.
