GAZA, Dec. 08 (YPA) – The death toll from the Israeli occupation aggression on Gaza Strip has risen to 17,487 martyrs and the wounded has reached to 46,480, since the Al-Aqsa Storm Battle began on Oct 7, according to the Palestine’s Ministry of Health.
The Ministry’s spokesman Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a news statement that the arrival of 313 martyrs and 558 injured to hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past hours, and a large number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads.
He affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s committing massacres and genocide of entire families in schools and residential neighborhoods.
Al-Qudra pointed out that 70% of the victims of the Israeli aggression are children and women, noting that the occupation prevents the arrival of ambulances to evacuate the wounded and martyrs from the areas where the occupation military forces are present, and the wounded are bleeding to death.
The statement stated that 618 people, including 407 wounded and 211 patients, left the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land crossing.
It explained that the health situation in the Gaza south is extremely catastrophic, and hospitals have lost their capacity in departments and intensive care units and occupancy has reached 262%.
Al-Qudra’s statement called on international institutions to intervene urgently to provide protection, medicines and fuel to the Al-Shifa Medical Complex and hospitals in northern Gaza in order to enable medical teams to restart them and save the wounded and patients.
The statement also called on the United Nations and its international institutions to prevent a humanitarian and health catastrophe for the displaced in shelters.
