Al-Fatah Alliance: US bases are combat barracks harm Iraq

WORLD, Nov. 30 (YPA) – The leader of the Fatah Alliance, Ali al-Zubaidi, said that the presence of US military bases inside Iraq would not serve the country at all, affirming that the United States of America is using the dollar file as pressure in order to impose these rules on everyone.

“Security and political sovereignty will not be achieved unless the government seeks to achieve economic sovereignty by obtaining funds selling oil directly in Iraqi banks instead of the US Federal Reserve,” Al-Zubaidi said, adding “The government is required to move towards ending Washington’s hegemony over many files of the country.”

He continued, “The move of the House of Representatives towards ending the military presence and the so-called military advisers is a must in the coming period.”

Al-Zubaidi concluded his speech by saying: “The presence of US military bases inside Iraq will not serve the country at all.  Washington’s continued imposition of its military bases, combat forces, and so-called military advisers will cause many problems for the country.”
