Sanaa Foreign Ministry: Maritime security in the Red Sea linked to ending aggression, siege on Gaza and Yemen
SANAA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed dismay at the misleading information presented in the Group of Seven’s statement regarding the reality of the Zionist entity’s war crimes and genocide against civilians in Gaza and the occupied territories.
In its statement, the Ministry said that “the statement equates the oppressor with the victim, the party with extensive military, technological, and unlimited political, military, financial, and logistical support against those who rely solely on strong willpower and genuine belief in their cause in facing the occupation.”
The Ministry reiterated its call to Washington, G7 members, and allies of the Zionist enemy to reconsider their interpretation of international law violations. It stressed that the war crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist entity against civilians in Gaza represent a clear breach of international law and all humanitarian values.
Regarding the discussion about the Israeli enemy’s right to self-defense under international law, the Ministry considers it a blatant fallacy in the application of international law, given that the Zionist entity violates all aspects of international law, especially international humanitarian law.
It labeled the G7 statement’s call on Sana’a to cease threats to maritime security and international commercial navigation as a baseless claim and the worst part of the statement.
“Despite the military aggression and comprehensive blockade by the coalition of aggression, now entering its tenth year in the coming months, Sana’a, despite its hardships, has been particularly cautious not to jeopardize international trade shipping lanes in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. This is in an effort to leave room for peace, operating on the principle of extending a hand for peace while being prepared for war,” the Foreign Ministry’s statement emphasized.
It highlighted that the courageous operation carried out by the Yemeni Naval Forces, officially announced by the spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces regarding the seizure of the Galaxy Leader ship owned by an Israeli businessman, was in response to the directives of the Yemeni high command and to fulfill the Yemeni people’s demands to provide comprehensive support to the resistance and the Palestinian people in Gaza.
the statement affirmed that the ship’s destiny is closely tied to ending Zionist aggression on Gaza and facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, food, and fuel without obstacles.
The Ministry further affirmed that the security and safety of international navigation in the Red Sea, as well as regional security and peace, are also connected to ending aggression in Gaza, lifting the comprehensive blockade on Yemen, and the withdrawal of foreign forces from Yemeni territories, islands, and waters.
