Iran’s FM arrives in Doha to discuss developments of ceasefire in Gaza

DOHA, Nov. 24 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian arrived on Thursday in the Qatari capital Doha to discuss the developments of the ceasefire in Gaza.

In a meeting, the Iranian FM met with his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, and they discussed also the situation in the Strip and the truce agreement between Hamas and the Israeli occupation.

Amir-Abdollahian welcomed the temporary ceasefire in Gaza, stressing that if the Israeli occupation would continue the war after this phase of the ceasefire, the situation in the region might become more tense and more widespread.

He pointed out that the occupation is unable to continue the war without the support of the United States, pointing out that “what happened against the United States in the region during the past 6 weeks is the reaction of the resistance factions in the region to Washington’s actions in supporting genocide in Palestine.

In turn, the Qatari Minister expressed his satisfaction with this meeting, consultations, and good and constructive cooperation between the Iran and Qatar, praising the pivotal role and valuable efforts made by Iran in helping achieve a result in the issue of a humanitarian cessation of the war against Gaza.
