Dozens of coalition-backed militias killed, injured in western coast, Taiz

HODEIDAH, TAIZ, July 9 (YPA) – The Yemen army on Monday launched an offensive on the positions of coalition-backed militias in Hodeidah and Taiz provinces, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official confirmed that the army forces were able to secure several sites on the western coast.

In Hodeidah, the army waged an assault on the positions of the militias West of Jabaliah area in the district of Tuhita, killing and injuring dozens of them, in addition to seizing a large quantity of weapons the official said.

In Taiz, the army forces destroyed a military vehicle belonging to the Saudi-backed militias by guided-missile in Waziaeh district, killing all its crew members.

The Yemeni army and popular committees increased their attacks against Saudi-led coalition forces and their militias in all fronts in retaliation for committing war crimes and massacres against Yemeni civilians.
