Update: Death toll from Israeli aggression on civilians in Gaza rise to 12,000

GAZA, Nov. 18 (YPA) – The Death toll from the Israeli aggression on residential areas of Gaza Strip has risen to 12,000 martyrs, including 5,000 children, 3,300 women, 200 medical personnel, 22 civil defense personnel, and 51 journalists since Oct 7.

The government media office said, in a news conference, that the number of massacres committed by the criminal occupation army exceeded at least 1,270, and the number of the wounded reached 30,000, more than 75% of whom were women and children, in addition to 3,750 persons, including 1,800 children still under arrest the ruins, are missing.

In light of the Israeli occupation army’s focused targeting of hospitals, the office indicated that 25 hospitals and 52 health centers were out of service, in addition to targeting 55 ambulances.

The number of government headquarters destroyed reached 95, while 255 schools were destroyed, of which 63 schools were out of service.

It affirmed that about 76 mosques were completely destroyed and 165 others were partially destroyed, in addition to three churches.

The office said that the occupation army appears from time to time with false scenarios and fabricated narratives against hospitals, as part of the campaign of incitement and misinformation that it has been promoting for many years.

It held the Israeli occupation forces, the international community, and the United States of America fully responsible for the safety of the medical staff, the wounded, the sick, and all the displaced people trapped inside the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, and everywhere in the Gaza Strip.

The office urgently called to open the Rafah crossing to bring in medical aid, supplies, and fuel to these hospitals as part of their restarting and returning them to work.
