Israeli occupation army announces suspension of its ground operations in Gaza

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Nov. 09 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army announced on Thursday the suspension of its ground operations in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement published on its website, the occupation said the ground operations by army forces in Gaza had been suspended, without providing further details.

The announcement comes amid reports stating that Egypt is about to announce a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip in exchange for the release of some hostages held by Hamas, sources told the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

A source also told AFP that Qatari-mediated negotiations are now underway in coordination with the United States to secure the release of 10-15 hostages in exchange for a temporary ceasefire for a day or two in Gaza.
