Russia: “Israel” is an occuption state and has no right to defend itself

WORLD, Nov. 02 (YPA) – The bloodshed in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict must be stopped immediately to prevent the conflict from spreading to the entire West Asia, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya stated.

“First of all, it is necessary to stop the bloodshed and to prevent the crisis from engulfing the entire region. Otherwise, the conflict will never be stopped,” Nebenzya said at an emergency special session of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday.

“Sooner or later, this path will have to be taken (the solution is diplomatic), but the question is how many innocent people will die during this time,” he added.

Nebenzia stressed that “Israel has no right to self-defense in the current conflict because it is an occupying power.”
