Nine defendants accused of corruption cases referred to prosecution

SANAA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – The Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) in Sanaa on Monday approved the investigation results of two corruption cases and referred them, along with nine defendants, to competent prosecution.

The charges include corruption, embezzlement, money laundering, smuggling hard currency, commercial concealment, and manipulation of financial markets based on undisclosed information.

The Authority referred the two cases and nine defendants to the Public Funds Prosecution for criminal case filing and referral to the Public Funds and Anti-Corruption Court.

The Authority also approved several measures to complete an investigation into several corruption cases and protect whistleblowers in them.
