OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched at dawn on Monday large-scale arrest campaigns in various areas in the West Bank, targeting dozens of freed prisoners, leading and academic figures, and journalists.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club reported that the occupation forces arrested 60 Palestinians in different areas of the occupied West Bank.
Palestinian sources explained that the occupation forces arrested former Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Nasser al-Din al-Shaer from his home in the Maajin neighborhood in Nablus, member of the Nablus Municipal Council, Omar al-Hanbali, and three others. Journalist Nawaf al-Amer was arrested from his home in the village of Kafr Qalil, south of Nablus.
Moreover, the occupation forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign in Ramallah, concentrated in the Jalazun refugee camp, the city of Silwad, Hebron, Bethlehem, and Tulkarm.
Since October 7, the Zionist enemy forces have been carrying out large-scale arrest campaigns in the West Bank, in conjunction with the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip.
According to the Prisoners’ Information Office, since October 7, the Israeli enemy army has arrested more than 1,590 Palestinians from the West Bank and occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem).
