Parliament denounces Palestinian president’s disgraceful positions

SANAA, Oct. 26 (YPA)-  The Yemeni Parliament in Sanaa,  has criticized the positions taken by President Mahmoud Abbas regarding the defense of the Palestinian people and their right to protect themselves in the face of repeated attacks on their land and sanctities by Zionist forces.

A statement released by the Parliament on Wednesday denounced the silence of President Abbas over the arrogance and intransigence of French President Emmanuel Macron during their meeting in Ramallah on Tuesday.

The statement also expressed disapproval of Abbas’s statements in which he mentioned that Hamas had caused a humanitarian catastrophe for the Palestinian people and a tragedy for the Israelis.

The statement also declared that Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people and labeled it a terrorist group.

It pointed out that President Abbas’s shameful positions are not new, citing his previous support for the killing of Yemeni children in a manner similar to the actions of the US-Saudi aggression, which had been targeting cities and demolishing homes for nearly nine years.

Additionally, the statement urged neighboring countries to recognize their humanitarian, moral, and historical responsibilities and their commitment to Arabism and Islam in addressing the suffering of the Palestinian people. It called for immediate action to halt the aggression, lift the blockade, and provide support to the children of the free Palestinian people.

The statement also called on Arab and Islamic nations and the global community to take serious and responsible steps in supporting the Palestinian people in their pivotal struggle.

The statement commended the resilience of the Palestinian people and their courageous resistance against the Zionist aggression.
