Protests against decision to ban motorcycles continue in Aden

ADEN, Oct. 25 (YPA) – Protests against the decision to ban motorcycles continued on Wednesday in Aden, southern Yemen, for the fourth day in a row, media sources reported.

According to the sources, hundreds of young people, including owners of three-wheeled motorcycles, demonstrated this afternoon in Al-Mansoura and Sheikh Othman, rejecting the security decision to ban the movement of three-wheeled motorcycles, which are their only source of livelihood.

The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) approved the decision to ban motorcycles issued by Aden Security at the beginning of this month, ignoring the suffering of thousands of families whose only source of income is motorcycles. This comes in light of the difficult economic situation in the city under the control of the Saudi-led coalition.
