SOCOTRA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Two fishing ships sank on Sunday in the port of the UAE-occupied Socotra Archipelago, southern Yemen, due to high waves from Cyclone “Tej” on the coasts of posed the island.
Informed sources on the island indicated that heavy rains accompanied by storms occurred in Socotra amid reports of high levels of waves in the sea and rock slides as a result of tropical storm “Tej”.
The Hurricane Tej began adjusting its path towards the west to fall between Al-Ghaydah and Sayhut areas in Mahra province, eastern Yemen, according to the sources.
