UNRWA reports that 29 of its staff have been killed since start of Gaza war

GAZA, Oct. 22 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced on Sunday that 29 of its employees have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Strip on October 7, 2023.

“We are in a state of shock and mourning. It has been confirmed that 29 of our colleagues in Gaza have been killed since October 7. Half of them were teachers.” UNRWA said on “X” platform.

Earlier, the agency’s commissioner general, Philippe Lazzarini, told reporters on Sunday: “Not a single drop of water, not a single grain of wheat, and not a liter of fuel were allowed to enter the Gaza Strip during the past eight days.”
