China addresses message to Zionist entity regarding Gaza

BEIJING, Oct. 15 (YPA) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday that “Israel” in its operations against the besieged Gaza Strip “exceeds the limits of self-defense.”

He called on Tel Aviv to stop “collective punishment” of the residents of the Gaza Strip and stressed in other statements that Palestine has the right to establish its own state.

This came in a statement by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which called on Israel entity to seriously listen to the calls of the international community and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres.

Wang Yi also stressed that “the parties should not take any action that would lead to an escalation of the situation,” calling for the start of “negotiations.”
