Meteorology issues important statement on weather forecast in Yemen

SANAA, Oct. 06 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected the weather would be clear to partly cloudy in some provinces within the coming 24 hours.

The center affirmed, in its weather forecast on Friday, that  a clear to partly cloudy weather, relatively cold and rain, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms in parts of the Tihama plain and mountainous heights adjacent to it and parts of the governorates Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahweet, Hajjah and Saada during the afternoon and evening.

The weather will be clear to partly cloudy and rainy clouds on parts of the western coast, hot and humid during the day, with maximum temperatures range between (34-37) degrees Celsius, the center said.

According to the center, active winds are also expected around the Socotra archipelago, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the eastern and southern coasts, ranging in speed between (10-20) knots.

In desert areas, a hot and dry clear weather is expected during the day, and moderate winds are active, causing dust and sand, with maximum temperatures range between (35-38) degrees Celsius, the center added.

It center warned citizens against being in the stomachs of valleys and crossing torrential corridors, as well as from thunderstorms.

The center called on citizens not to be in valleys and torrent passages in areas where rain is expected, to take shelter from thunderstorms, and not to use mobile phones.
