SANAA, Oct. 06 (YPA) – Member of Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, congratulated Niger for the withdrawal of French troops.
“Congratulations to Niger. Niger has reaped two benefits; protecting its sovereignty from the harm of colonialism, and protecting its citizens from the harm of French bugs,” Mohammed al-Houthi said in a post on his X account on Thursday.

The French Chief of Staff announced earlier today that its forces deployed in Niger will begin their withdrawal within a week, in coordination with Niamey.
According to AFP, General Command of the French Armed Forces said that the withdrawal of troops would begin this week, “in an orderly and safe manner.”
