SHABWA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Islah forces are preparing militarily to attack the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa governorate, which is under the control of UAE-funded factions in eastern Yemen, according to informed sources.
The sources confirmed on Friday that Islah militants are conducting intensive training for its military and security forces, which withdrew from Ataq and some districts of Shabwa following the confrontations with the UAE factions during August 2022, at the Areen camp in the Arma area.
According to the sources, these forces carried out a military parade on Thursday under the name of celebrating the 61st anniversary of the September 26 revolution.
Islah military leaders called on the recruits to be prepared and remain on high alert and vigilance.
It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia has worked over the past months to arrange the Islah factions in Shabwa since the visit of the commander of Saudi “Support Forces”, Sultan Al-Buqam in early May, amid news of their merger into the “Dera Al-Watan” Factions.
