Yemeni Journalists Syndicate condemns pro-coalition government’s practices against Al-Shujaa

CAIRO, Sept. 27 (YPA) – The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate called for an immediate stop to deportation of journalist and politician Dr. Adel Al-Shujaa and held the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition fully responsible for his life.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the syndicate demanded that the pro- coalition government to fulfill its promises to transfer Al-Shujaa to Spain, where he was supposed to be transferred.

The syndicate expressed its displeasure with the actions of the pro-coalition government, which it described as vindictive and as it forces its opponents to keep silence  and obey.

The syndicate also called on all organizations concerned with freedom of expression, such as the Union of Arab Journalists and the International Federation of Journalists, to stand in solidarity with Dr. Al-Shujaa, prevent the arbitrariness he is subjected to, and provide a safe environment that protects his life and maintains his safety.
