DHALEA, Sept. 24 (YPA) – Members of the judiciary in Dhalea province, south of Yemen, have continued their strike for work, in protest against violations by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions, for the fourth day in a row.
According to a statement issued by the judges and heads of the courts in the province, the UAE-backed commander of the Security Belt, Ahmed Qaed, working to break the judiciary’s rulings and help some of those who have been sentenced to violate them and insult the judicial authority in a strange and deliberate act aimed at disrupting the work of the judiciary.
The statement called on the Attorney General and the Judicial Council run by the coalition to address the relevant authorities to oblige the STC to stop these practices and punish their perpetrators.
Last week, the courts and prosecutors of the province announced a comprehensive strike, denouncing the practices of the Security Belt, and the leaders of Dhalea Security Administration, which insult the judiciary and obstruct the implementation of laws in the province.
These developments come as the judiciary gets exposed to many obstacles and targeting in various areas controlled by the factions of the Saudi-Emirati coalition.
