Yemeni Revolution Leader stressed necessity of radical change in state institutions
SANAA, Sept. 21 (YPA) – The Leader of the Yemeni Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, stressed on Thursday the necessity of radical change in the state institutions to play their role in serving people with responsibility, ethics, and strict oversight.
In a televised speech on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the September 21 Revolution this Thursday evening, the revolution leader affirmed that working to reform the state’s institutions is a national necessity, a popular demand, and an important basis for the country’s steadfastness in the face of enemies.
“With the priority of confronting the Saudi-led coalition, we will not ignore the other priority of correcting the situation in state institutions as a basic goal of our revolution and as a popular demand that we are working to meet,” Sayyed Abdulmalik said.
He pointed out that despite the efforts of loyal free people, many of the problems of the past, with the presence of some treacherous, negligent, and incompetent people, had a negative impact on the performance of state institutions.
“The scale of war, siege, and hostile conspiracies takes a greater place in the miserable situation of state institutions, as it is the main reason for the salary interruption, which was primarily derived from oil and gas revenues,” he added.
Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized that economic policy must rely on developing resources to grow revenues instead of relying entirely on collecting burdensome money from citizens, and that the extent of the imbalances in the official situation requires a radical change that will restore hope and recovery to the people.
“The new phase in state institutions is transforming our country into a producer and not dependent on imports for everything,” he explained. “The first phase of radical change, which will provide a solid foundation and a stable and sound starting point, will be announced on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.”
