Russian Foreign Minister attends UN General Assembly

 WORLD, Sept. 20 (YPA) – The Russian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in New York on Wednesday morning to attend the work of the United Nations General Assembly at its 78th session.

Russia’s UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya said Lavrov “has an intensive schedule and a meeting every 10 minutes.”

 He added that Lavrov will participate in other events of a number of organizations, such as the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the BRICS Group, the Group of Friends for the Defense of the UN Charter, and will also meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
