Al-Alimi’s son seizes $10 million from Aden Refinery Company

ADEN, Sept. 12 (YPA) – A document has exposed a new corruption scandal within the corridors of the “Presidential Leadership Council” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition

On Monday, Yemeni activists on social media posted a leaked official document showing a directive to the Minister of Oil and Minerals in the pro-coalition government, Abdul Salam Abboud, to disburse $ 10 million to Rashad Al-Alimi’s son, Abdul Hafez Al-Alimi, from the account of the Aden Refineries Company.

The activists denounced what they described as crimes of looting public funds practiced by the pro-coalition Council and the pro- coalition government, at a time when the people are starving.

The new scandal comes days after Al-Alimi rented cars for himself and the Saudi delegation for 45 million riyals in just two days.
