ADEN, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia vowed, on Saturday, to pursue the most prominent leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), in southern Yemen. This coincides with the renewed crisis with the UAE over the Aden Telecommunication deal.
Saudi intelligence activists launched a campaign on social media under the hashtag “#Thecomingsoharsh.”
The new campaign focuses on attacking prominent STC leaders, most notably Hani bin Breik, who was accused by Saudi expert Saad al-Omari of forming a gang to target Saudi Arabia.
Al-Omari pointed out that bin Brik, who resides in the UAE, is behind a widespread media attack on Saudi Arabia, citing one of the groups in which bin Brik refused to stop attacking the Saudi role in Aden.
The campaign, as it seems, is the beginning of a Saudi prosecution of these leaders that may not stop arresting and may include liquidation.
Saudi Arabia, the UAE and their proxies in southern Yemen are engaged in a fierce war that has escalated in recent days as the UAE tries to swallow up telecommunications, one of the most vital sectors in Yemen, at the expense of Saudi Arabia.
