HADRAMOUT, Sept. 02 (YPA) – The province of Hadramout, eastern Yemen, has witnessed on Saturday angry protests, demanding the departure of the Saudi-led coalition and its government.
According to local sources, the people of the city of Al-Shihr came out today in angry demonstrations to condemn the continued power outages and the absence of basic services.
The protesters chanted slogans call for improving the living conditions of citizens and demanding the departure of the coalition and its government from the oil-rich province.
The city of Mukalla witnessed a similar demonstration last week, in which protesters blocked a number of main streets in the city using stones and set fire to tires.
The protesters held the coalition and its government responsible for the deteriorating situation in the province.
