Rare pieces of unique Yemeni antiquities sold at American auctions

SANAA, Sept. 02 (YPA) – The Yemeni researcher who specializes in tracking Yemeni looted antiquities, Abdullah Mohsen, revealed on Saturday that two pieces of ancient Yemeni antiquities were sold at auctions in the United States of America.

Mohsen explained in a post on the “Facebook” platform that the two pieces are the tombstones of “Ma’ad Karb” and his daughter “Ghatham,” which date back to a period from the second century BC to the second century AD, without an exact date being specified, as he said.

He pointed out that one of the pieces was sold in Dallas on March 19, 2008, and the other on December 11, 2003.
