AMRAN, Aug 30 (YPA) – Mahdi Al-Mashat, the head of Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, has threatened to strike ships trying to dock in the Yemeni ports to loot oil.
This came during his a speech in an extended meeting in Amran governorate, on Wednesday.
“We informed the companies that own the “Sinmar Jane” and “Bolivar” ships that we will strike them if they enter to loot gas from the port of Aden, and we are ready to do so,” he said.
This is the first time that the Sanaa government has revealed moves to loot gas through the port of Aden, following warning strikes carried out by Sanaa forces on the ports of Al-Dabba and Al-Nashima in October and November last year.
