Recruit of pro-UAE factions commits heinous massacre in Abyan
ABYAN, Aug. 30 (YPA) – A recruit of the factions loyal to the UAE committed a heinous massacre against a number of his family members in the Abyan province, which is under the control of the UAE-Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions in southern Yemen.
Human rights sources in the province reported that the young man, Mukhtar Ali Bakr, shot his brother “Sami” yesterday, Monday, while he was in the grocery store of the Al-Rai neighborhood in Ja’ar district, and then headed towards his family’s house and fired randomly, wounding his sister and uncle’s wife, and he left the house after the incident.
After that, Bakr went to ensure the death of his brother, whom the citizens tried to take to the hospital on a “bus” taxi, and he opened fire on the bus, wounding a woman and a man who were in it, according to the sources.
The sources pointed out that the citizens were later able to take the wounded to Aden, including the conscript’s brother, who died before reaching the hospital, while the offender fled to an unknown destination.
The sources attributed the incident to the spread of drugs and hashish among the members of the STC factions, while other sources indicate that the reason is family disputes.
The incident left a state of terror and panic among the people of Ja’ar district, who considered the incident alien to society.
