Identities of “MSF” staff kidnapped in Marib revealed

MARIB, Aug. 29 (YPA) – Media sources revealed on Tuesday the identities of staff from the “Doctors Without Borders” organization (MSF), who were kidnapped in the outskirts of the city of Marib, which is under the control of the Islah Party.

The sources said that gunmen riding two pick-up cars intercepted a car carrying the director of development and organization in the Dutch mission of MSF, Hansen Ton, from “Myanmar”, and the director of primary health, Peter Roland, a “German”, and took them to an unknown destination.

The MSF organization had confirmed the kidnapping of two of its employees yesterday, Monday, and the kidnapping took place in the Al-Araqin area in Al-Wadi district, east of the city of Marib, with the complicity of the responsible guard, as their patrols were absent on the day of the accident.

The sources referred to information about the sale of the two hostages to al-Qaeda.
