Protesters block vital streets in Aden, STC forces use live bullets
ADEN, Aug. 24 (YPA) – Angry protesters in Aden city, southern Yemen, closed on Wednesday evening the main Al-Mualla street in protest against the deterioration of services and the power outage.
Local sources indicated that the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces tried to open the road but were unable, despite firing bullets in the air to disperse the demonstrators.
The districts of Aden are witnessing a popular uproar and widespread protests that have reached the vicinity of Ma’ashiq Palace, the headquarters of the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.
On Tuesday, two peaceful demonstrators were killed and 10 wounded by gunfire from STC forces.
