RAYIDH, Aug 17 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, arrived on Thursday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in a visit, the first to the Kingdom since the restoration of relations between the two countries last March.
The Saudi-based Sabq newspaper reported that the Minister arrived in the Kingdom at the official invitation of his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan.
The newspaper said that the Iranian minister arrived at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh to meet with bin Farhan.
The two sides are scheduled to discuss a number of bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest, according to the source.
The source said that the Iranian ambassador would start his duties in Riyadh as a result of this visit.
